Exciting news...FCES was selected by Buckhannon Toyota to receive free backpacks for all students!! Backpacks will include 2 wide ruled spiral notebooks, 3 folders, 1 pair of blunt tip scissors, 1 wedge eraser, 1 pack of crayons, 1 pencil pouch, 2 glue sticks, 1 pack of washable markers, and 1 pack of pencils. These will be given out at our Open House on August 13th from 4-6pm. If you cannot make it to Open House, students can get a backpack on the first day of school.
Good morning! Unfortunately we have to cancel the 3rd and 5th grade field trip due to weather. We are working diligently today to find a new field trip for both 3rd and 5th grade. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Due to a delayed order, Bingo for Books scheduled for Monday, May 19th has been rescheduled for Tuesday, May 27th from 5-7 at French Creek Elementary School. We hope to see you there!
I am excited to announce that we will have an outside fun day on Monday, May 19th! We will have various inflatables from HypedUp. Please send students with a towel, extra clothes, and sunscreen.

We are pleased to inform you that you should be able to see your child’s 2025 West Virginia General Summative Assessment results online within 24 hours after completing the ELA, math, or science tests. We are sending home a letter with your child that has the information you need to see their results. Your child has also taken a picture of this letter in case it was lost. If you still need the information, please contact the school and we will provide the web address and your access code.
