This week at B-UMS it’s red ribbon week, as part of the week we are participating in themed days. Wednesday is also our after school dance. Our students want to also recognize breast cancer awareness month and chose to change our traditional blue and white Friday to PINK day!
For the last 2 weeks Ms. Webb and Ms. Byrd’s 6th grade Social Studies classes have been creating their own bills and taking them through the legislative process to become laws. Classes acted as the House of Representatives and the Senate to create and vote on their bills. Today, Mrs. Leput acted as the president and signed several student bills into law.
The staff at B-UMS were introduced to the Buccaneer Galley today! Thank you Lowes for adding the waters and Freedom Bank for the added basket full of goodies to our Galley on wheels!!! It was a great time delivering it to our staff with all the laughs and giggles.

Project ISAAC after school program starts Monday September 11th at 3:30pm at Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School! Project ISAAC provides great opportunities for our middle school students with fun interactive enrichment activities, homework assistance, and activities to promote overall wellbeing .
