This year, Ms. Webb's 6th Grade Social Studies Class made videos for the charity event Project for Awesome. During the Project for Awesome, people vote for charities to receive funds that are raised across a 48 hour fundraising drive. Ms. Webb's class learned about global issues, researched charities, and made videos to support those charities. From today, Friday 2/16, at noon until Sunday 2/18, at noon you can vote for the videos made by students to help support their chosen charities. To vote, follow the instructions below:
First, go to this link: https://projectforawesome.com/?search=Ms.+Webb%27s+Class. This page lists all of the videos made by Ms. Webb's class. You can click on any or all of these videos to watch them and vote for them. Once you have clicked on the video, you can then click on the "vote" button.

We agree with Lauren and we love officer Menendez too!

Congratulations to our talented artists here at Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School! These students have artwork that will be in the annual WV Youth Art Month Show in Parkersburg, March 1-mid April. Their work will then be transported to Charleston for the annal Arts Alive Showcase. This is a huge honor as each WV county is only permitted up to 11 pieces of art. Our school is well-represented with these 5 students and their amazing artwork.
Artwork from around the state featuring art from PreK-12th grade will be on display at the Parkersburg Art Center. Artwork will be judged and awards and cash prizes given.
